Vicky has a unique talent in working with those with early stage memory loss. She’s created a program that is not the least bit patronizing, yet perfectly tailored to my husband’s needs. Jeff is actively engaged in this sometimes raucous 90 minutes, taking notes so that he can share with me what he learned. This gives him something to look forward to, and something to share about his day when I come home from work. AGOM allows him to continue to be part of a wonderful group of peers.
About a year after my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease we discovered Victoria's program. My husband had retired from a demanding profession during the early days of the pandemic. "A Gathering of Minds” was exactly the kind of engagement my husband was looking for. Victoria impresses us with her care and attentiveness. Her program is very well organized, providing intellectual, social, and emotional engagement for the participants and remains a centerpiece of my husband’s daily activities. We are very grateful for Victoria and the program she has created.
Finding a program that meets [mom’s] needs has been a god-send. Knowing that she is engaged and thoroughly enjoying her friends means everything to our family. It's been a ‘game-changer.’
I really enjoy the variety of discussion and activities - everything from current events to history, and art to travel, and more. I like being part of a smaller cohort, which allows for a more intimate setting - where we all can be heard and contribute to the conversation.
A Gathering of Minds is a unique and truly remarkable opportunity. The program engages people in stimulating activities and discussions in an encouraging and supportive environment. Members relate beautifully to the facilitator and bond with one another as well. We couldn’t recommend it more strongly. It has been a lifesaver!
